The Secret :: Uncover the Lies
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?

The character of the month for December is Ziggurat, played by Spectra!
Ziggurat was crippled by grief and guilt at having witnessed his lead stallion Colateral's death. He went to the Keepers and became one of them to escape the burden of his emotions.
Honourable mention goes to HorseWhisperer's mare Callypso who was beating Zig soundly for most of the duration of the poll!
Note: This site was originally a new version of the equine RPG Avatrai, but the original came back so we made this site into something new! That explains the strange URL.

Isabel
The spanish gray rose of the south
The ghostly colored mare moved within the dark shadowed woods. Isabel slowed her trek to even walk before stopping. The moon held over head sprinkling the forest floor with dots of color. Yet that didn’t help the fact I was practically lost in here. Wait, no I’m not lost. Not lost…I thought to myself. I couldn’t’ be right? I mean these woods couldn’t be this big they didn’t’ look so big from the hill side earlier this morning. Looking around me once more, I sighed. “Great, I really don’t know where I’m at.” I muttered to myself. Swishing my tail I broke forward into a trot once more, maybe I would be able to find a break in these woods. Switching my gait to a ground eating gallop I watching the trees whoosh behind me, the only sound I heard I was the soft drumming of my hoofs. And the wind playing music in my harks, seeing a small break in the woods I went forward though it. Letting out a sigh of happiness, I looked around me. This was much better, much better indeed. I didn’t feel like the trees were going to crush in the fact of trying to escape out. Looking behind me once more, I wondered if that dumb nut of a stallion noticed I ditched him. My blackish gray mane tipped in the sun bleached orange fell over my dark orbs. Hiding how I felt to others, but what I was really thinking was. I hoped I lost the horse, would he find me? Truth was I was never really like this, only in new places I didn’t know. I lost my hope from being advanerous, ready to try dangerous things long ago. It happens when you grow up fighting to show who you were.
Tossing my head I walked forward toward the some pond I just noticed. The thirst I had ignored was suddenly stronger than it was before. Only coming up to the water I lowered my head down half way to watch my reflection the water below me. It came back the creamy colored ghost looking mare with moon hanging the background. I had often wondered were, I got such a odd color. I stuck out from everyone, every day of my life it seemed. I was the one who could never blend with her background. Just stuck out like sore thumb. Dropping my head down to the water I took in sip, then drinking my deeply. I hadn’t’ realized how thirsty I really was. Hearing bushes rustle I dirked my head up looking around me. Fear seeped throughout my body, then seeing it was a rabbit. I cursed myself for being so...So under taking. Turning on my hill I let out a soft whinny to any that was nearby. Just my luck that one horse would show back up. Rolling my eyes to the thought I decided maybe it was time just to let loose and have fun for once. Trotting forward once more I headed up the hill stopping at the top I looked down. A slight breeze came around me pushing my long banner to wisp around my back legs to my side. Tossing my head I reared up pawing the air with my black daggers and let out a light squeal once more. Coming back down I tossed my head once more with snort and dropping my head I started grazing softly.

Isabel
The spanish gray rose of the south
I spun around facing the stag that showed up, talking like he owned me. I snorted in near laughter, "Excuse me Senor. But i don't' listen to demands." i murmured lightly watching him with my near black orbs. If he actually think I'd follow him to his home they way he acting. Well..i have news for this little horse, sorry my dear I'm not. "Amaryllis Falls? And do well, knowing I'm not moving a hoof." i said stepping back laying my harks back slightly. "My name is Isabel" my light spanish mark to my voice came out along with my name. I studied this horse once more, his pelt was darker than mine. While mine shined along with the moon hanging overhead. His did not. Tossing my black/gray mane i wisped lightly in the wind before settling once more against my neck. Letting a breath rush out of my nares it misted lightly in-front of me. "and your name?" i asked lightly. Turning past him i walked down the slight lope and stopped at the bottom turning to face him once more. "And the reason you want me following you?" i questioned laughing softly. I never take anything serious anymore.
Why would i? After what i had been through most of my life, i wouldn't' care any more. Now this stag comes up thinking he's all big and bad? I wondered exactly if he had to fight to keep your standard as a young foal. Stomping a cream dagger on the soft ground to get ride of the annoying flys that wisped around every once in while. I slightly scared to see how this stallion would act to me rebelling against him as much as i was. Would he take it lightly, or take the other and force way his self. I didn't' really care at the moment, i would love to try to fight back just a tad. I wasn't' scared to protect myself, i had done it earlier during the day. Then ended up getting lost in these none graceful woods. Looking toward the clear waters of the pond thoughtfully i pushed away the thought to head toward it it. Instead i turned back to the stallion still standing higher than me. I wondered exactly why this stallion thought it was time to boss me around. Or what exactlly he wanted from me, i wasn't a broodmare. I didnt' plan on anytime soon on being on. Tossing my had lightly i kept my orbs glued on the stallion, that i knew was going to end up pretty irriated by the way i was actting. And if so..well..oh well.
