The Secret :: Uncover the Lies
There was peace once, though by now it is but a distant memory in the minds of those old enough to remember. There was order and cohesion, and nothing to fear. The Keepers of Hesperides stayed within their walled Haven, and none disrupted their peace. There was always a rumor that an object of unspeakable power lay hidden within those great walls, but in time the rumor grew dull with age. But now a young stallion, maddened with greed, is gathering all the information he can about this mysterious object of celestial power. Flanked by the powerful drafts of the northern lands, he is murdering and taking prisoners left and right. There is only a handful of southern herds that stand against him, led by the mysterious Theseus. If they are vanquished, the Keepers will be on their own. Chaos and uncertainty abound. How much longer can the forces of reason hold off this madman?

The character of the month for December is Ziggurat, played by Spectra!
Ziggurat was crippled by grief and guilt at having witnessed his lead stallion Colateral's death. He went to the Keepers and became one of them to escape the burden of his emotions.
Honourable mention goes to HorseWhisperer's mare Callypso who was beating Zig soundly for most of the duration of the poll!
Note: This site was originally a new version of the equine RPG Avatrai, but the original came back so we made this site into something new! That explains the strange URL.

Did this plot never get off the ground or have I just been missing seeing the thread completely for the last month or so? It's a shame if we just never got around to opening it, this is a really interesting plot. If others are still up for it I'm more than willing to come up with an opening post myself, and I'm sure there are other people who wouldn't mind doing it, either, if that's the problem. ^.^

Yeah, it looks like no one got around to starting it. I thought Sarrie was going to start but upon looking over the thread it looks like she was waiting on us to say when. Oops!
Whoever does start it, post the link in here so we all know. ^.^
These are the ONLY ones who will be in this plot, as adding or taking away would confuse everyone.
Now I think perhaps it might be good to set up an attack plan. Say, we can pair the fighters off so that the initial thread they all meet and then pair off into separate threads once the fighting begins, hmm?
Like, for instance, Naitsirk vs. Croatan. In the initial thread they all show up and Naitsirk say's something that Croatan dislikes and the two just get this bloodthirst for eachother and once the fight starts they move off to their own thread.
Now, Naitsirk and Croatan won't fight because they're both my characters and it would be awkward. But you get the gist, hmm?

Oooh, I think that's a good idea, being in separate threads will help keep things less confusing, what with people throwing punches here and there. Mind you, it could be fun to have some horses helping each other out, say Romeo saw Hermes get injured and he abandons whoever he was fighting and springs on the one fighting Hermes. So what if, instead of everybody being in separate threads we split it down the middle. 4 vs 4 on one thread and 4 vs 4 on another? Or we could even split it again with four threads with 2 vs 2 on each? Does that make sense? Not too sure ahaaa xD Bav sucks at maths.

Atlas is totally digging Mardy lately, he'd love to have a little chat with him afterward. ^^
Great, so we have a game plan! *rejoices* So for pairings, I guess it's kind of up to the people who play specific characters. Personally, I'd like Atlas to be thrown in with Theseus and then two poor souls in between from each side to keep them from killing each other, but I can see how that'd get a little rowdy, so I'm game for putting him in with just about anyone. What about the rest of you?

Hrrm. Skyros is new so that would work. Atlas could attack Hermes, then Theseus shows up and jumps in. Skyros would have no idea what he looks like so he'd move to back Atlas and only find out afterward that it was Theseus he was fighting. Then of course, he would be all pissed at himself because he didn't get to kill him. XD
... Speaking of which, how are we going to end this fight? The South loses Fox and Hermes (wounded) so they retreat, but the Northerners can't follow them because they lack the numbers to deal with any backup that might arrive?
Also, I haven't seen Ska, Domino, Barq, Jinx or Onyx in a while. I'm not sure who those belong to, but I know Rai has two and has apparently gone poof. We might need another role call...

Rai is back-ish, I was talking to her on MSN. She had swine flu, or something close to it, but is recovering.
Maybe Theseus does some stealth work in the woods once Skyros is sufficiently beat up. It could be getting dark by that point, a moonless night even, so the drafts are at a serious disadvantage since they don't know the terrain. Theseus could scare a few by kicking or biting them out of nowhere. He can be pretty quiet. The remaining southern stallions could spread out and rustle every so often, making it seem like they have a larger force.
I would say "oh, well reinforcements arrive and all is well", but bringing in new charries just to say "okay thanks for your help, thread over!" seems a bit lame. xD

Wait, so Skyros and Atlas both go after Hermes and neither actually sees Theseus? Sorry, I've been organizing community service work all day and I'm both mentally and physically wiped...
