Staff Applications

HOLY SHIT I NEED TO UPDATE EVERYTHING. SAFE TO ASSUME ALL POSITIONS ARE OPEN, YO.

Well The Secret is taking off again in its sixth year and, since we keep increasing in activity, we need some active help running the place!

For all applications it is required that you be an active member and have made at least 10 posts (OOC doesn't count, and it won't show up on your post count, but it helps me get to know you so it's also important). Yes, this will take more than a few days, but I need to see how consistent and reliable you can be.

The Positions
Global Moderator: You can no longer apply to be a Global Moderator, but should we require more we will promote Moderators who have been extra-helpful or we will offer the position to advanced members of the roleplaying community.

Moderator: This position is as a sort of general helper around the board. You help me manage the members and ensure that the rules are followed. You review character applications, make sure there is enough content and that it fits with the character's category, the site premise, and our standards of grammar and spelling. Also, you make sure in-character posts are at least 400 words long. You uphold our standards of literacy and help answer questions. Mods who go above and beyond the call of duty (in a good way lol) will be in good standing to be promoted to GMod if a spot opens up.

Graphics Designer: Pretty self-explanatory, eh? Your job is to take image orders from members and make images for their characters.
Warning: Yes, I turn down a lot of people. If you've just started making manips, you're not ready. I'm very picky about detail, so if your cutting is fuzzy, your text isn't blended or you don't balance your colours enough I'm not going to appoint you. When people order images they expect a level of quality something like my stuff, and I try to uphold that in who I hire.

Skin Designer: I'm no skin genius, I have to resort to premade skins and codes and building on them with my own images okay, I've gotten much better over the years. I can keep making all the skins, since it's really hard to measure up to my standards. But if you have the coding and imaging know-how to make a skin that will satisfy me, of all crazy people, then I want to display your talent on my board! Your job is (obviously) to make skins every once in a while (three months or something) to keep the place looking fresh. This will involve making graphics as well, but if you have a graphically gifted ally then you can get them to do the images.

If you really love making skins and you want to make us one, PM the details to me and if we really like it we'll include it as one of the skin options. Full graphics a must.

Inactive members will be stripped of their staff ranking if they have not logged in for a month without giving an away notice. Staff who have left an away notice but their return is uncertain will also lose their status. All may request to be reinstated to their former position once they return to activity.
