still painting flowers for you
The ground here was beautiful, fragrant and lovely. He cast his eye about, drinking it all in. No matter the beauty of this place, his skin crawled and danced, a nervous edge he couldn’t hide. Pale hooves paced over the ground, leaving marks in the Earth. It felt as though there was too much peace here, especially when there was war in his heart. This place called to him though, called to something primal and needy in him. It should have come as no surprise that this place was an echo of what his soul had once been. Once he had been pure and beautiful, innocent of the cruelties of the world that flickered before his cerulean blue eyes. He didn’t really see it, that’s what he believed. He didn’t really see the world for what it was or what it should have been. It was just an always changing landscape that harbored cruel intentions and wrathful creatures always looking to do harm. An interesting thought when one really thought about it. Cold and dark as it may seem. However, this place held a sort of light in it that he wasn’t used to and maybe, just maybe it could bring some light back into his heart.
Pawing the ground, frustration formed in his heart. This was foolish. He was hardly a stallion worth being a leader. He was not worthy of this land, at least he didn’t see himself as such, but there was no denying how much he wanted it. Drawing in a slow, settling breath, Vayu let out an alarmingly loud call, listening to the echo of it over the land. He would take it and prove himself. That was his desire. He would claim this land as his own, because it was all he could hope for or want. He needed a purpose, a place to call his own and this would do just fine, he was certain. It was only a matter of figuring out what sort of plans he had for it, what he wanted to do with himself while he was here. Maybe leadership would not suit him, but he would try. Finding his place in this vast and destiny-void world was all he could ask for right now and this felt like a step in the right direction. For now, it would do and eventually, if he was very careful and very lucky, it would be all he needed to keep him moving forward.
