It might as well be the middle ages. It is the year 2130 and the earth has been spent of its major natural fuel sources. What of other forms of energy, you ask? Well, science could have solved that problen but the scientists were too busy building the politians machines of war. Torture devices. And when they finally realized our sources of energy were spent it was too late for new creations. War was upon us and everyone hated everyone.
To try and make up for our loss of energy we turned to the animals we had once fought and died alongside of. The ones that had aided us when we knew not how to manipulate mother earth in the ways of science. Horses. They had been our plows, our tanks, our guardians, our friends, our whole world.
But we were then blinded by war and so, we abused them.
Some of the equines were mutated into marvelous, or so we thought, creatures. Their once plain coats erupted in color and vibrancy.. brilliant designs and unusual features. The scientists had finally figured out the correct formulas for unicorns. They were no longer beasts of myth. Even the steed of Hercules, Pegasus, could be recreated.
